Let the children play and let them live
In peace and harmony
Let’s not take away their innocence
In the violence that they see
We’ve got to find away
To stop this killing, we’re doing today
So tomorrow’s children can play
Bombs bursting in the air, children running every where
Hate destruction breeds’ despair
Children caught in genocide, while leaders run and hide
People dying, others can’t decide
Let the children play
Or tomorrow will be just like today
Young and innocence they know no wrong
Maybe we can all get along
If we just let the children play
Think by now we’ve learned to live together
And try to understand
Instead, we keep on hurting one another
In the wars that we plan
Tomorrow’s children should know
Where there’s love
There is hope let it grow
Never let innocence go
Children grow up and they learn
That they are no one’s concern
They’re crying while they watch their cities burn
Let the children play
Instead of blowing them all away
Young and innocence they know no wrong
Maybe we can all get along
Just let the children play
Can we just let the children play
